NEARLY TIME...

To rest..... As I've mentioned before it's been a whirlwind of events since closing the shop, teaching in the States, doing our 3rd Annual Retreat and now getting ready and prepping for the NEC. I'll be there teaching for WOW Embossing Powders next week, I love this event it's so much fun, in fact I love every event I do, after all life is about having fun and I feel very blessed.
Here's a couple of samples I've made for WOW, the first was sooooo very relaxing, I just took a canvas board 8" X 8" and sketched out a flower, then filled in with embossing power, it gives a gorgeous sparkly textured look and let's face it, you can do whatever you sketch, so think of new home, wedding day etc....would make a gorgeous gift.
I used Long Island Teal, Atlantic Seaspray, Opaque Bright White and Silent Night

Then I got really excited as I 'had' to open these dies and use with the powders and the Pick and Mix Stamp Set. The powders I've used are Daytona Sands and Long Island Teal, simply stunning together !!!

Have you seen the newest Limited Edition Paint set from PaperArtsy ? NO, I hear you cry, why, where have you been....it's absolutely gorgeous and we've only got a couple left of the shelf

For those of you visiting the NEC next week, I'll see you there, and if you want to do one of the classes, get there early as they book up very fast !!!

SHARING THE LOVE...

I feel very privileged to have been asked to design some cards using the fabulous Oakhouse Studio Products. Not only does she have some great stamps, ink pads and accessories but she also sells some amazing dyes that are so versatile, I love them !!! You have to check out her pipettes!!
Here's the first one of the three I designed.... You can check it out on her blog HERE, along with instructions...
I'll post the other two in the next couple of weeks ....
Enjoy xxxx

3 and counting....

We’re at the 3rd trade show.... this year !!!!!!
To say I’m tired is an understatement, but there’s something about the shows plus adrenaline that just keeps you going.
There’s nothing better than teaching people new techniques and that’s what these shows are all about. That and having fun of course !!!
We’re all set up...this is the calm before the storm ;) we have so many new things to show this year, it makes it all the more exciting.
One of the best things about trade show shows is meeting up with buddies in the industry and even though I see Leandra and Mark (PaperArtsy) every week (we quiz together) it was great to go out with them last night.

Richard and Mark look like they’re praying, when in fact they were having a bald off 不不不不 Steve has more hair than both of them put together so as a gesture of kindness he hid his. 不不不不不  It’s now 6am, I’m ready to jump in the shower and get this day started... think of me standing from 8am to 6pm.... I hope you get to sit a lot m…

One for the Mums ...

In celebration of the fabulous Catherine Pooler Inks about to hit the store, I thought I'd pop a little card on here. Take a folded card base, I always make mine from card stock, then I know the piece on top is going to match perfectly. then cut a smaller piece and perforate the edges, you can use a perforating blade, if your trimmer has one, or there are many dies out there that do this in a snip ! Using the WOW! Embossing Powder Layered Hearts Stamps, I inked up and stamped using the Catherine Pooler Daydream, Aquatini and Skylight Inks.
Embellish with a Uni Ball Signo White Gel Pen, one of my favourites !!!
Finish off with the Mothers day sentiment from the WOW! Embossing Powder Everyday Sentiment Stamps, inked in Versafine Onyx Black, adhere with foam pads. Check out PAPERBOX for a great selection  of card stock. Thanks for looking
